The context ? This work was done sometime in late 1983-early 1984. Way before the advent of those super cool image editing softwares, it was realized with coloring pencils. Yes, Prismacolor and Laurentien coloring pencils - grade 13 high school art class to be precise. This project was an interpretation of the showbiz industry circa 1977 to 1982. Burt Reynolds was the top box-office star during those years; being the first actor to earn a $5 million dollar paycheck for one movie: Cannonball Run.  Clint Eastwood was also a top box office draw. The two films he did with co-star Clyde the orang-utang were his first 2 movies to break the $100 million dollar mark. Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder were also at the top of their game in movies like Silverstreak and Stir Crazy and the dancer represented the Jane Fonda workout video craze. The drummer was Ricky Howell and the goalie was a symbol of the lucrative team sports biz. E.T. in the top right corner was the star of the biggest box office hit in 1982 and held onto that title until Titanic came along in 1997. And, the entire canvas takes place in the wonderful audience media: cinema.
